Shu Thayu? reunited the Chhello Divas gang and reminded everyone why Krishnadev Yagnik owned the Gujarati box office in the late 2010s. It reworks the Tamil sleeper Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom into a wedding-week farce. Manan is a day away from marrying Dipali when a cricket-ground accident erases two years of his memory, and his three friends decide to hide the amnesia and get him to the mandap anyway.
The film runs on friendship chemistry rather than plot mechanics. Malhar Thakar plays the confused groom with a light touch, while Yash Soni, Mitra Gadhvi and Aarjav Trivedi carry the panic and improvisation of buddies covering for a disaster in progress. Kinjal Rajpriya gets less room as the bride but lands her moments. Kedar-Bhargav's songs keep the mood breezy, and Yagnik holds the runtime tight at just over two hours so the gags never overstay.
The Times of India gave it three and a half stars and called it a must-watch for Malhar Thakar fans, noting the Chhello Divas cast recreates its magic in a different story. Audiences agreed with their wallets. The film crossed fifteen crore in eleven days and finished near twenty-one, one of the biggest Gujarati earners of its era. It is not reinventing the remake, and viewers who know the Tamil original will see every beat coming, but as easy, warm-hearted comfort comedy it does exactly what it sets out to do.
